Refractometer

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to ditch my hydrometer for a refractometer since I've heard how refractometers are supposedly more accurate. I'm considering the following refracts:

Premium Aquatic's Sybon and Premium Blue
Marine Depot's Captive Purity

Anybody have any experience with any of these. Any other recommended refracts are welcome. Thanks!

Gary

I just bought the blue refracto from Drs.F&S and it has already proven to be of great benefit. I think they are going for $42.99 or so right now. The Sybon from Premium Aquatics is what I wanted but I didn't want to pay shipping from two different places as I needed salt at the same time.

blue one from drsfostersmith.com and it's great. puts the old hydrometer to shame, but if i can get the bubbles off the hydrometer's arm, it is accurate.

i boght the one from depot.... works great!

i remember when i first got it i compared my salinity measured on the swing arm which said 1.0245 then i measured it in the refractometer and it came back at 1.029!!!

i was wondering why my tank was actin wierd at that time too coulda been the high salt

I got the blue one too. I also went through the intial shock when I first used it. Refract. reading 1.029 Swing arm 1.025.
