Refuge and Sand

Just one of my daily questions that result from research. I'm looking for a refugium for my 75g. I found a HOT refuge at aquatraders.com. Its 24"x4"x13.5". Would this do any good on a 75g for nitrate reduction. They're cheap enough that would a pair work. I'm trying to keep this tank as simple as possible as far as equipment. Also is aragamax sand any good.

A refugium helps with nitrate, but only a little. It would be more beneficial as a pod producer.

If you have extra money, go for it. I would say there are other things to better spend your money on. If you stock light, don't overfeed and do weekly water changes you shouldn't have a nitrate problem

I strongly disagree. I added a fuge with cheato to my new system and within two weeks my nitrates went from 20 to 5!
