Refugium Light

I am going to have a small refugium in my sump (12"x12"). I had this led "grow bulb" laying around and wondered if it would work for the lighting. Likely will have chaeto and maybe a mangrove or two.

Power :15w

Color :full spectrum 400nm~840nm

Led Chip :5pcs x 3w bridgelux

Let m know what you think. Thank you.

Probably fine, what color temperature is the bulb? Mangroves may not thrive, but the chaeto will probably do fine. Can't hurt to build some little waterproof fixture from parts at home depot, you can always change out the bulb to a brighter light later. But 15w of led is decently bright if it's directional. A lot will depend if it's dispersed or concentrated. I had two spot light type leds aiming at my sump, 12w each and the chaeto did fine.

Only way to know for sure is to try it..
But anything sold as a "grow light" should work.. and 15W of LEDs is sufficient for that size..
