What spectrum bulbs you using? I use 18 watt 6500k Power Compact on my fuge and the cheato grows like crazy. Plants grow in a different light spectrum than coral.

Exactly mrp2 - the 10k bulbs grow algae real well, such as the algae in corals. the lower spectrum bulbs grow chlorophyll in macro algae real well. Try changing to an an incandecent - its cheap too..a $2 bulb- its worth a try.
