Refugium or No refugium?

I have a 170g tank, 60g sump with a refugium area, but I am now contemplating on whether or not I will need one. I am currently running a phosphate reactor, carbon reactor, will be getting a kalk reactor, calcium reactor and also run a ASM G3. I have about 150lbs of rock in my tank, give or take.

I will be carrying mostly tangs, maybe some wrasse, definitely anthias and other other fish here and there. The tank will be dominately SPS with the exception of some very nice Zoanthid colonies ;)

Oh and btw, reason I ask is because my current skimmer area can basically only hold the ASM G3 area and I would like to definitely get a ATI BM250 or ATB cone or BK in the future and they would only fit in the "refugium" area.

What do you all think?

thank you in advanced!

Well, is there a way you could make the refugium be where your skimmer is now? If that would work, you could have the best of both worlds. It's certainly not some horrible atrocity if you don't have a refugium, but the fuge is a great place to grow algae for nutrient export and maintain a healthy population of pods and other good creatures your fish will like to occasionally snack on.
