Did you purchase them as a pair or did you have one already and added the 2nd one later?
I started reading your posts regarding medicating your regals. I've had my regal for just over 5 years. She's always been a very timid feeder, but just recently her appetite has really diminished. She still eats NLS pellets, spirulina enriched brine, and fresh clam, just not with gusto. I've noticed her poop is stringy, but it's always been stringy ( for 5 years). Should I treat with Prazipro or just observe for now?
My pair is still doing well. Have had them for about a year and a half now. Here's a short feeding video of the fish enjoying a clam.![]()
What are the two fish in the video other than the regals? They are nice-looking.
The black one is a dusky butterfly (Chaetodon flavirostris) and the white one is a yellowhead butterfly (Chaetodon xanthocephalus). It can be hard to find a healthy dusky, and it can be hard to find yellowheads at all but they pop up now and again.![]()
thanks. how long should I keep them seperate? and how do i know if they are paired?
