Regal Angel Primer

So its not eating basically and you want to put it in the DT tank... Seems like you answered your own question

starved to death :( also had flukes. I did FW but didn't do prazi because it surpresses their appettite.

I got two more yellow bellies that are smaller. One is eating flakes and my mixture of food. The female sees, smells, taste, but doesn't eat anything.

Subscribed :) I just added a Red Sea Regal to my reef. Fat and healthy, eating from the water column. Still a bit shy when I approach the tank but its only been 24 hours.

Earlier this year I tried two via a mail order supplier that arrived in poor condition. One was DOA and the other only lasted a day. After that I told myself that I would get another one unless I saw it in a LFS and it was eating. Yesterday I came across two very healthy yellow bellies in a LFS and they both were eating pellets so I grabbed one. So far it is very active and has eaten some frozen food, pellets and hikari freeze dried spirulina brine. It's not eating aggressively but appears to be constantly on the lookout for food. It's going to stay in my qt until it is really chasing down food for a few weeks. My fingers are crossed that this one settles in and finds a home in my display tank.

here are my regals..

Gorgeous fish Chicago. Love the little imperator peaking in as well as the banded. How do your regals do as a pair? My trio never really hung close together. Curious if a pair acts differently.

Here's my 2" regal angel in a 28G Nanocube. It was listed as being from Indo, but seems to have a yellow belly, no hit of gray at all. It was in a 5g QT tank for a few days, shy at first but then swimming around, but showed no interest in food. Therefore I added it to my DT. At first it was hiding in the back, but after a few days it was swimming throughout the back and ate all the sponges that were growing there. It soon ventured out and was actively swimming everywhere. Within a week or so, it was eating frozen brine, and after a few more days it's not voraciously eating PE mysis and Hikari mysis. Most recently, it's spitting out flake food, but hopefully it'll eat that too.
