More Raffle Prizes

More Raffle Prizes

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give another update on a couple more prizes for the Charity Raffle. Two things from my own, personal collection, that I'm sure some of you will be able to use in your system.

The first is an AquaC Urchin. This is an in-sump skimmer that is rated for up to 75 gallons. It has a very small footprint, making integration rather easy. There's a slight crack at the top of the collection cup, which won't have any affect on performance. Plug in a powerhead of your choice and you're ready to skim.

The second will be my Euro-Reef RS5-3. Another in-sump skimmer, this is in great condition and performed admirably on my 110g in its early months. It's rated for 90 gallons, and comes with a Sedra 3500.

We've got a few more spots for the $10 lunch, so sign up as soon as possible. The deadline for your RSVP and prepayment for lunch, will be October 21st.

Regards,

Karl

There will be a signed copy of this book in the raffle as well:

Included with that book, you get a 16oz of Phyto-Feast to feed your clam. What clam? The one we'll be throwing into the deal :)

Please pass on this raffle item, or give the clam to some one that has proper conditions, if you don't at the time :D

Thanks, Sang!:p

I originally planned on selling these to fund my 'rare clam' search:lol: , but raising more for the charity is more important:)

Are you going to be able to make it?

I don't think I can swing it. It's a long drive for me. Btw, has anyone heard from Marc Daniels? I was just wondering how is cespitularia propagation project was going.

I was planning on stopping by his place this week. I'll let him know you're looking for him:)

Sorry you can't make it, bud. I was hoping I could take your car for a spin.

UPDATE

UPDATE

Well, it just keeps getting better and better!

We are now at 94% of our attendance minimum. There was also a couple of lucky hobbyists at the BAR meeting that won guest passes that were donated to the raffle by Gresham.

I’m proud to announce that a third sponsor, Matt Juner of Reef Ready www.reefready.net , has joined Gresham ( www.reef-nutrition.com ) and John ( www.yourreef.com ) as advocates of the Regional Club Frag Swap! He will be donating some prized pieces to our Charity Raffle.

Matt is the proprietor of Reef Ready, which is dedicated to providing healthy and highly collectible coral, as well as drygoods, online and to the Bay Area community.

Those of you that are familiar with rare and collectible corals have probably heard of certain farmers having ‘a good eye’ for stuff. Matt is definitely one of them, having introduced the Rainbow Monti, The War Coral, and The Peace Coral.

It’s great to have you aboard:)

There were several reefers I have spoken within the last few days that said that they were going to attend. I am not sure if they signed up yet or not.. *hint* *hint* (you know who you are :)).

Sparkss,

If I remember correctly, you have Red's old 380 also. Man, that's a lot of tank for one house.

Moving glass tanks sucks.

yes, that is the one :). It is already in the garage, and basically once the stand is finished the tank will only have to move about 4 foot over and up onto the stand, so moving it won't be nearly as bad as it was getting it up here from Red's house :). We keep making progress towards that end, a little closer each weekend. :D

I know the feeling.

Sorry I won't be joining you Karl, I think I like talking to the people more so than the frags :) But if I go anywhere near Sacramento I'll be expected at the "in-laws" place, and if that happens I'll either have cooked frags to bring, or cooked frags bringing home :(
