Regional Club Frag Swap - Side Trades

Anyone looking for a 2" chalice?

First pic is my pic, 2nd is the one shown when I bought it. It was originally purchased from Atlantis as a pink chalice. I believe they're selling a "hot pink chalice" right now which looks identical to mine for $175 for a 5" piece. I would consider LPS, Yuma, palys and zoanthids :)

got a frag of this spiderman blue/red leptastrea... looking for some interesting palys or nice zoanthids..

spidermanlept2.jpg

If it is still available I think I want it. I have a nice tennis ball size rock with deep green palys and 30 or so polyps of zoas. I will post a pic in a few hours. I may pluck 4-6 zoa polyps because I do not have any more of this color.

bluenassarius,

This is the paly/Zoa rock I was offering for the spiderman blue/red leptastrea. However I would pull a few of the Zoa polyps to frag.

That really is a nice lepta Sam...makes me wish I had more room in my tank.... I've been considering setting up a zoa only tank that would make some room in my current tank....but that won't be for a while..and I would need more T5's..just because zoas looking banging under T5..

hi jlf,

thanks for the offer.. i have both color morphs at the moment..

dave,

what size tank were you thinking about if you were to setup a all zoa tank?

But, but but... I want it... The leptastrea that is.

As for tank size I'm a green horn to this reef keeping gig. I have a 30g and I am setting up a 80g. The 30 is going to be my frag/QT thank once the 80 is up and running. I think the 30 would make a great Zoa only thank though. So would the 80g, but I want a mixed reef tank for the 80g.

What do I need to do to talk you out of the leptastrea?

We also have some yellow porites frags, but I can't seem to get a good picture of them. I have seen them for sale at Atlantis labelled as "banana coral" (at least I think that was what they called it.).

Here is a decent picture of one of the yellow porites frags. It has been laying unmonted for some time, but still growing well.

on plugs would be great! Those I call watermelons, they look as good or better in person as they do in the pic!

Peace

I fragged and mounted them yesterday (and accidentally got some glue on the corals.. so if you see a slightly bare patch of polyps, it was my "sticky" fingers. I will see about getting that glue off shortly :)). Here are the picts of your porci frags. The yellow porci seems to have much thinner branches, guess I had it in a lower flow area, but it will grow well once you get it into your tank. If not, then I will replace it with one that will :)

The picture isn't great because of the angle, but from left to right they are the green, raspberry and yellow porci's

And because of the angle they are actually taller than they look. :)

Sam...I've got a 24" PC just sitting in my closet so I was thinking of useing that for lighting...so maybe another 29gal tank or so... But I'll probably wait untill I get my tax return in Jan. to do it...got to finish paying this semseter first and the big payment on next semester (and the last...woohoo)....
My other option that I've been considering is moving into a downstairs apt so I could just get a bigger tank (like a 120 or something) that I could use my MH's on...right now I don't think the floors upstairs will hold a bigger tank..

me too on the green slimer, otherwise Scott you will have to frag your for me in the future :)

Do to some recent unfortunate events in my tank I am in desperate need of colorful frags (aren't we all) Looking for zoos, acro, milli, digitata you name it as long as it is colorful. I saw a red candy cane the other day anyone have any of those for sale?

See you all Saturday.

Ok, last chance for frags for side trades as I want to do all fragging tomorow morning (or possibly this evening, if I can find the time), that way they have time to heal a bit before the swap.

I have decided to frag a few more of the porcilloporas if anyone is interested. Here is an example picture of the frags to expect (these are actually of madnesses frags, and the yellow one's "dead spot" is actually another small piece that had fragged off from underneath, where there is no light, that I just glued onto the same plug). This is, from left to right, the green, yellow and raspberry porcis (or is it poci ? I always mix that up :)).

Here are the parent colonies, from front to back raspberry, green and yellow. I had to take 2 pictures to get all 3 in focus :)

we also have some yellow porites frags left also (3 or so at least). Here are a couple of the larger ones (and hopefully a better picture this time around :))

Still have a over a 1"+square frag of this very nice green w/ purple centered lep, last chance before I put it up on the selling forums ;)
Not my pic but an excellent representation of this coral, my frag has more newer growth so some of the skirts are almost yellowish, in color

nice looking coral. I have a smallish, similar, colony of that from Warren, but it hasn't colored up yet, the skirts are still brownish :(. I am going to try moving it higher up in the tank, likely after this weekend, to see if I can get some more color into it :)

Anything else we have that you would want to trade for it ? :)

John
You still want a frag of this stylophora (cats paw) that we have ? You going to be at the swap ?
