Good morning everyone,
One of my males gave birth yesterday, 27 July. 18 fry initially, 13 still survive in the birth tank. Since the birth, I have noticed his pouch opening is obstructed by some kind of tissue. It doesn't appear to be a fry. The male is clearly in discomfort; he keeps trying to evacuate the material, but the obstruction is still there after 24 hours. I was initially wary about performing a manual evac, since I wasn't sure if the material was anatomical or simply some form of afterbirth, but after 24 hours of obstruction, I'm very concerned about infection/circulation.
Does anyone have any experience with this situation/advice?
