I am looking for a good reliable place to get a large established pair. is there a site anywhere that sells them like this? or if i found one large clown like 3 inches could i just add a juvenile or would the age difference be an issue?

Why would you want large fish - they will usually grow on their own.
Especially clarkii and the like will grow to a good size in as little as a year in the right sized tank. The only ones I found to grow extremely inconsistently are percula.

As for the second part - pairing a small one with a large is usually possible if you do it right. A large one will usually be a female already and therefore be less aggressive to a small male than when both still have to fight out their place in the hierarchy. Only the introduction has to be done right, ideally in a neutral tank where both are added at the same time.

Ibluewater.com

I just bought a large pair of tricinctus clowns and they arrived today.

I used to breed and I bet I bought 6-8 pairs from them.

I would avoid putting clownfish in a tank with a lion, back about 11 years or so ago I had a zebra dwarf lion that tried to swallow a damsel that was literally the same size as him.

I would just avoid keeping a lionfish in a community tank.
Since they don't need too much space I would rather set up a species tank for them.
