Relocating Fish

Hi all,

We had trouble with a Velvet Damsel, 4 stripe damsel and a neon dottyback killing new fish we introduced to our aquarium. We tried to re-home them but couldn't find any "nice" homes. So we relocated them to a 10 gallon tank we had.

In our main tank we have 2 clowns, a blenny, coral beauty (new) and six line wrasse (new).

My main question is can i re-induce any of the aggressors back into my main tank after a period of time?

Others may have different experiences, but those fish are known to be fairly aggressive. IMHO, I wouldn't .

Let them settle into the new location (two weeks or so) and than re-introduce into main tank. They should be ok. If you can, maybe re-arrange some of your rock in main tank also just in case

They are pretty territorial but why not use an acclimation box for a couple days so they get use to all the fish.

What size tank? A single Damsel won't be happy in less than 50g. Two of them and you are looking at 75-100g. Add the dottyback for even more issues. And now you have a six-line? They are a ticking time bomb as well. It, at least IMHO, isn't a matter of if they might go rogue, but rather when.
