I DO remember that! John had it right in his house at the time!
I remember going there a few times to get some special rock and other stuff from him.

I wasn't doing marine then of course. But I remember him showing me and trying to talk me into it. For the time it was, he had an awesome place. As simplistic as it may seem now in comparison.

He had stuff and got stuff that you could not find in many other places(even in the exotic fresh water trade). I ordered some special things. Bog wood, rock and some additives for black water south american species. Stuff that other "stores" would not carry.

Definitly cool.

How about the ATS algae turf scrubber. That was the hot thing when I was getting into the hobby and I remember no one could find any info on it but everyone wanted it.

It wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

Oh, it's all coming back to me like a bad dream. I had a pair of work lights perched on top of the 55 and the dead coral would get black algae on it. I would have to bleach it one piece at a time so there was always some clean coral in the tank. I tried to be a diligent caretaker, but I was just so clueless.
