Curt,

Somewhere in the past on the forum i remember reading about a remote display that may be in the works.

Could you confirm, or deny this, and if the answer is Yes, is there an approximate timeframe that we'd be looking at until such product may be released?

Thank You,

marco

JB NY - would that work with a AC Jr?

He pulls the data via Telnet - so i doubt it, unless hook it up via Serial port, AquaNotes and write something to poll the AquaNotes website for data.

Yeah I poll the data from telnet. I used to pull it from html, but I poll every minute and the webserver on the AC3 sometimes hung or slowed down after a few days. Telnet seems to stay up all the time. So it's a AC3 or AC3Pro solution.

Here is the link to the "official" DIY build of a remote screen!

And my end result - Your milage may vary.

a computer.

The LCD hooks up to the computer via USB - the computer is on the same network as the AC3 - and polls via Telnet interface.

I justed to clarify - This is NOT to compete with any product Neptune Systems might be working on.

This solution is for the DIY crowd, and requires a little bit of computer knowledge. It also requires a dedicated PC w/ windows to drive the LCD screen.

Hopefully Neptune systems will be releasing a remote screen for the AC 3 series of controllers, that does not require a dedicated PC - that would be very nice.

In the end this "solution" if you want to call it that, cost me a grand total of $142.75 + a dedicated PC that i had laying around.
