Remote sump questions

Ok spoke with my builder today. Here is what we are going to do. (See image). We are going to drop the floor in the fish room 12". The pipes will enter the room at about 10" through the 12" wall. The pipes will then enter the sump straight and into the side wall of the sump. I didn't show it in the picture but the pipes will slope under the floor to the fish room. On the emergency overflow line, that line will enter the sump through the side but above the normal water height. I will put a T fitting and ball valve on that line to remove any water that may remain in that line. I could also put a shop vac on it if needed.

Great news.
Good tip about emergency line!

I should clarify. The pipes will enter at 2" off the floor or 10" down from the top of the 12" wall in that room. Not at 10".

I'm not too far from you if you want to stop by and take a look at the way my setup works. Ryan

Ryan, would love to come by and see your setup. I've been reading through your setup. I think I am up to 2011. Still have a way to go. I will PM you my number. Thanks.
