Remove stylo. Colony

I’m trying to remove Stylo. Colony from my aquarium and the rock attached too can’t be removed from aquarium. Does anyone know of a battery operated power tool I could use?

I replied to your other thread on this topic but noticed in this post you stated the rock can't be removed from the tank. If that's the case, there isn't a power tool that will work as water and electricity don't mix.

In your other thread, I asked if you could post a picture of the rock and colony. This will give us a better idea of what you're trying to accomplish.

As @Billfishbrsin already indicated, you can chop as much as possible and cover it with putty or similar.

If you prefer to go a different route there are other options. If you have a dremel and the distance you need to cover is not too deep within the tank, you can get a flexible extension cable for the dremel that allows you to keep the dremel outside of the water and do some work down inside the water... this would be much preferred using a battery dremel as opposed to plug in, and even better if done with two people whereby one person runs the dremel and the other is manipulating the extension, helping to ensure the dremel does not accidently get dunked in the tank.

Here is an example: https://bit.ly/4s7N5gG

They do also make fully submersible underwater drills (used for swimming pool work, boating, etc.) ... you could use this along with a drill bit to perforate numerous holes around the base of the stylo, in combination with the bone cutters Bill mentioned above. These drills are very expensive and could also introduce undesired substances to the tank.

Example: Nemo Waterproof Drill - 5M - Nemo Power Tools
