removing a large capet anemone

i have a large carpet anemone in my 265 for the last 8 yrs. bigger than a baskest ball. Whats the best way to get him out?

Wheres he attatched to?

under the sand ( i have a 12 in deep sand bed) and attatched to a rock under the sand. I have a lot of rock as well.

on the sand all the way to the glass?

Thats going to be tough without disturbing all that sand bed.
Looks like it will have to be dug out and the rock removed if possable. IMO
