Removing an anemone from Glass???

Hello All,

So my large BTA split when I moved. I have one large one and two very small ones now. One of them has been on the glass for a few months now. I am planning on moving it to my other tank. But I wanted to ask this question before I just take a scraper and try to scrape it off.

So my plan was to take a glass scraper and slowly get under the foot and basically scrape it off the glass.

Is this the way I should do this?

Thanks,
Friend

if its just a BTA, I would use a few icecubes on the base of him. I'm sure its not the best way, but better than a scraper. Just hold it in ur hand and use the edges of it until it melts, and do this until he lets off.

Just use your finger nail to get under it slowly and keep sliding it under until it lets go. I think a scraper you take the chance of damaging the foot as it is pretty big and sharp. With your nail you can judge how much to do at a time and you are not digging it in to hard.

I would try using the ice cubes. Just press like an icecube or two on the outside of the glass corresponding to where its foot is on the inside. It should let go as soon as it gets uncomfortable and you don't have to worry about touching or damaging it at all

i personally have used credit cards, works great. just be sure whichever method you choose you go about it slowly.

I agree with using credit cards or ones like it. I would prefer not to use a credit card. More like a used up gift card if you know what I mean.
