removing anems from rocks... gangnam style..

This weekend I had to remove a RBTA for my friend -- The ice trick didn't work. This is what I did and it worked great an the RBTA bounced back really good.

1.I got an extra power head and started blasting the guy.
2. When the foot started to come off the rock I took a small plastic spoon and started wedging it under the foot of the Anemone very slowly and softly as to not hurt the foot. Blasting the guy w/ the power head the entire time.
3. When the anemone finally detached I placed him in a bucket w/ the rock I wanted him on within a few minutes he was attached and replaced back into the Display tank.

Get a section of PVC pipe with a diameter that the oral disc will fit thru. Place this over the hole when the anemone retracts in. The anemone will move up into the pipe and you can do what you want with it.

i like this, and it makes sense.
nem wants light, pipe reduces light, nem moves into/through pipe to get light, done deal...
