removing eurobrace

I have a 240 gallon(96x24x24) eurobraced tank from glasscages that I want to turn into a frog paludarium with only around 6" of water in it. I would like to take the bracing off so I can get the background in it. I can silicone it back on when I get done, but I'm not super confident in my silicone-ing skills. I would like to know if it would be ok to hold 6" of water with an un-profesional silicone job holding the braces on?

6" should be fine but I wouldn't fill it more than half if your not confident in your skills.

Yes, just make sure you get the glass clean. Steel wool is your friend.

Reassemble with Momentive RTV108 for black or 103 for clear.
