Removing fan in fixture

I am planning on a modification to my combo fixture. It is cooled by two small fans located at the top of the fixture. In reality, I dont think the fans do much, I think that more heat is vented passively through the end caps which have more open area than they do plastic. The fan output is pretty weak, you cant feel much of a breeze coming out of the vents where the fans are although I'm sure they help some. Anyway, I need to remove one of the fans and move the other to make some room. There are 3 vent holes on top, and the 2 fans are located in the left and right vent holes, the center vent hole does not have a fan but it will accept a fan. So basically, I am going from two fans, one on each side of the center hole, down to one fan, in the center hole. Does anyone think this is going to be much of a problem?
I can always purchase a better fan, same size but much higher CFM. Fan noise is not an issue and I believe the reason why they used such weak fans is because high speed cheap fans are noisy and a quality, quiet one wasn't in the budget. But with what I have described as far as the current cooling, does anyone think that this is going to create much of a heat problem?

Thanks

I would keep the 2 fans, and either upgrade the fans, or change the direction of one. Alot of people run their fans making a flow. One in, and one out. This way it keeps the air moving. although, if they are on the top, I would keep them both blowing out, as the heat will build at the top of the fixture.

The one fan is definitely coming out. But the fans are in the way, I have to move them. I will relocate one in the center but there won't be any space for both up top. Do you think that doing this is really going to cause a big enough increase in temp. to worry about?
