Removing Haze/Cloudiness from Acrylic Tank

I just picked up an Acrylic tank that on the front panel has a bit of haze/cloudiness. There are no deep scratches, so I was thinking that I could polish it away. This hasn't been the case. I did Novus 1 to clean, 2 to polish and then back to 1 again. This was done by hand, and it looks just as cloudy as before. Do I need to go to 3.. then 2.. then 1 to polish again? Or am I going to have to wet sand?

Thanks!!!!

Do you have access to a RA (random orbital) polisher? If you have any friends that are into car detailing, chances are they have one & could probably polish the tank for you. You'll want to get a polish & a finishing pad. I'd practice on either the back wall or bottom of the tank. Let the RA do the work & don't use much pressure, as you'll generate heat. Work a section at a time in a side to side, then top to bottom pattern.
I recently used my RA to refresh the light cover on a 29 Biocube. It had yellowed & become very cloudy. I only used an auto polishing compound on it & it brought it back to near perfect in about 10 minutes of polishing. HTH
