Removing some zoas to save other zoas

I bought a plug that had mixed zoas on it. Some of the zoa's are absolutely beautiful while the others are somewhat bland. Of course, the somewhat bland zoa's are over-growing the beautiful ones on the plug. Is there a safe way to remove the bland Zoa's to make sure the beautiful ones make it?

Use a razor blade and cut out the ones you don't want. Attach them to frag plugs or rock to put elsewhere in your tank if you want.

Careful cutting them. Use gloves and a face shield, or at least eye protection. They can squirt juice in your face if they pop and could potentially poison you. It's not common but has happened. Look up palytoxin.
