Renton's Upgrade

Nathan, your tank looks incredible.. as usual.

you haven't taken any money out of my pockets lately. We will have to change this.

How has this been a tank of the month yet????

Change that indeed.
TOTM would require me doing a write up, that sounds like a lot of work.

Gorgeous tank, love the chalices

Thanks! I do like the chalices.

Impressed as always with your tank. Thanks for the update.
At what level/schedule to you run your lights?
Are you using T5s or anything to supplement?
I'm currently running Vegas and would love to see that kind of growth and coloration!

Thanks! I do not use any t5's. Further back in this thread I graphed my light schedule. I also have a custom led strip along the front for some added colors, though I don't think it does much in the way of coral growth.

Wow Wow Wow!!! I've been following your tank since the start and the latest shots just really surprised me. Not only is the coral colours great, but the growth is just crazy! Awesome work my friend! TOTM for sure!

Thanks Sahin. I have been busy as of late but wandered over to your tank thread yesterday for the first time in a while. Holy smokes you got things rocking as well. I want to take some time and read through it more!

It's amazing how close everything can be without stinging the crap out of each other.

The acros seem to play nice for the most part. The have a few isolated stingings but for the most part then seem to avoid or grow over each other.

You tank is really filling in nicely and corals are looking awesome! Been following this thread since the beginning, hard to believe it's almost been 3 years already! Remember when you outgrew the last tank, you're almost there again lol!
I'm hoping my LEDs will work as well as yours!

Thanks Roger! Time does fly, and I have outgrown this tank. However, I am not allowed to get a bigger tank right now :(

Just picked up a small pair of Ruby Red Dragonets. I had a couple in the past but out of the blue my 6 line wrasse decided they were the enemy. I move the wrasse to the sump.

The Holy Grail is looking SWEET from that angle Nathan! The Sour Cherry V2.0 is awesome as well bud. I would nominate you for TOTM.

Hi,

Great looking tank, folks like you & Big E need to put together a program for Csea on how you set up & maintain your beautiful tanks. I would definitely come to that meeting.

Dave

I have done that a couple times over the past 2 or 3 years.

I also tried to get Big E to do so but he is just so darn bashful.

Nathan what type of macro set up are you using ? Are you using a true macro lens or a screw on type,or possibly an extension tube ? I am just curious as I like macro photography too.

I borrowed the lens from Kreeger. It attaches to my Nikon D90, thats about all I know, lol. Perhaps Kreeger can chime in with the specs.

It's the nikon macro 110. Older style with no auto focus motor built in. The camera can focus the lens if it's a model with a built in motor like the d-90

Tidal Gardens has created the most dramatic film you will ever see of my aquarium (until he tops himself). The music and cinematography are astounding. :)
