I have 3 colonies that are 5" to 6" in diameter. They do encrust like montipora but they also can plate out a bit in scale like formations. The big difference is that they have much longer/taller and sweepier polyps then montipora.

The green & blueish palys? I got them at WOW palys, but who knows, they could also be yodas, I didint even know there were any named yodas, lol

I am still using the Alkatronic and very much like it. I have not totally put it to full use and completely narrowed down my Alk range. Currently I have a low tolerance of 8.5dkh and a high tolerance of 9.2dkh, so ALK drifts within that range depending on my water changes and dosing.
In the graph below you will see ALK was at the high rang on August 7th. I turned off the Alk dosing via my Apex, intending to only turn it off for a couple hours.......well I forgot I turned it off until later that day and you can see the Alk drop from 9.2 down to 8.5.
The Alktronic is currently doing exectly what I want it to do at this point, prevent a drop below 8dkh and spike above 10dkh.
I eventually plan to narrow the range to 8.5 to 8.8.

Excuse the cellphone pic, but I just had to share a picture of a baby bounce. The foot of the mother was stretching way out after the main frag disk it is on broke loose. I cut the mother loose and the remaining part of the foot turned into a baby.
I plan to let the baby grow out and frag from that so that I dont ever have to cut the mother again.

I saw in your post that you plugged in your APEX in place of PH probe, right?
How you did to appear "Alk" in fusion instead PH?
Apex is able to ready alkalinity?
How you set up to know how it need drop to achieve the score that you want?

Hi Marco. You can actually connect a cord between the Alkatronic and the Apex unit. That cord plugs into the same socket on the Apex that the PH probe plugs into. The Alkatronic then sends a signal for the Alk reading to the APEX. So the Alkatronic does the reading and then sends the result to the Apex. I renamed that input in the APEX/Fusion software to Alk. Here is its recent history.

There is no reading that shows the milliliters. I just know that my dosing pumps pump 1.1ml/min, so if I have it programmed to run for 10 minutes I know it dosed 11ml
