repairing a powerhead

I have a hydro power head and the cable has worn down and exposed the white wire. If it was anything else, I would just put liquid rubber or electrical tape.

With it being in water (saltwater) is there anything I can put on it to make it "reef safe"?

Its only a 1/4" from where it comes out of the housing.

Considering the potential risk of elctrocution, I would "fix" it by replacing it with another. Having been thrown across the room by a PH in similar condition, I cannot reccomend any other solution.

I figured that would be the answer, and it is a extra.

So I will just keep it for parts
