Replacing clown and QT

I had a pair of osc. Clowns. Unfortunately I lost the female about a month ago. I know the lone male in the tank is prolly female now.

I have found a 1 inch snowflake that I would like to qt and then add.

Will the new clown change female alone in qt for 4 weeks? I don't really want to move the other clown in there incase the new clown does bring in something.

Is my best option to just have the one clown?

I have split a mature pair and have the male pair with another male. The larger one start to lay eggs in 6 weeks.
However, a 1 inch Ocellaris is not going to be a female, so even if your male turn female, I will not mater. So, get him and QT him for 4 weeks, they will pair up, no problem.
