Replacing Filterdirect RO membrane

I have had a filterdirect RO/DI unit for about 2+ years now. I have noticed that the performance of the RO side is not nearly what it used to be, so I suspect it is time to replace the membrane. I have read that the Filmtec membranes generally work better. Can I replace the GE membrane in my unit with a Filmtec one? Are the housings all standard for these units? Would I need to get a different flow restrictor to go with the new membrane?

Any advice would be appreciated,

Yes you can use a filmtec membrane in that unit, the houseings are universal. You only neef to change the flow restrictor if you change the gpd of the membrane

You other filter housings also take standard sized filters.
