hey guys when i do this Muriatic acid bath on these rocks i have i thought of having them cycle for a month to get the bacteria need tosupport my 55g.....my question is would it be ok to take all my rock in the display out at once and add the new rock or how should i do this being that the rock in the display has HA and crap

Mario, I would say they need to cook longer than a month. I would go 6 weeks at least. is there enough rock to completely replace what you have? if the new rock is properly cycled, then yes you can completely swap it out. you will have a mini cycle of sorts as there will be a difference of bioload between your cycle container and the DT.

um.....there is about the same amont of rock going into the display as there is that i will be pulling out.....6 weeks eh? ok i can do that.....i figured there might be a bit of a cycle in my display......shouldnt be too bad though? i do have the 2 clowns, blenny, royal gramma and will have a yellow watchman goby in there so it shouldnt be too bad?

As posted in your other thread on this, You will be wise to test that water the rock is cooking in and only when it tests 0 for Po4 would i switch that rock into your display. If you cook it for 6 weeks and it still has Po4 you really haven't solved the problem! Test First. JMHO
