what is the best spetram of light going to change the t5. i have a reef only tank 72 bow with mostly softys what to try some stoney thanks for the help

go with ATI aquablue special and Blue+ has great color and great PAR for corals.....this is what i personally use

KZ fiji purple ive heard will help with the pink/reds of teh corals....i havent personally used the KZ myself but i just ordered some and i have only heard positive things from what i read about these bulbs

I run heavy Blue+ with some special blue and one aqua sun. Growth is good as are the colors. Sounds like a lot of blue but it really is not.

I wish I had tried a Fiji but never have yet.

What overall color of the tank are you trying to achieve? I would also agree with ATI lamps or Giesemann...

A 1:1 Aquablue to Blue+ or actinic+(if Giesemann) will give you a crisp white/blue look... Obviously you can then go more blue or whiter according to your tastes.. A 6000k lamp will most likely put out some good PAR but can be overwhelming in limited lamp fixtures.

If you are looking for lamp suggestions Grim is the guy to ask, he is great at dialing in colors.. Check out the T5 Q&A thread.

Good luck
