Reputable Breeder?

Posted this in the Rod's thread, but since there's some action in here I guess I'll re-post it if it's not a problem...

"Since it looks like Rod's site hasn't been updated in a while, by reading this thread it seems his fish are still 50$ each. How much is his shipping? Also, does anyone know when he will have some available next? Thanks..."

It is best to call Rod. He is a busy man. Leave a message, or keep calling, he is in and out a lot. $50 sounds more than reasonable to me for Rods fish, I would doubt they would be less than that.

Hell, I paid $30/ea. for my Ocellaris, and one of them has flared gill plates and a goofy dorsal fin.

Not to mention what you went through to get them healthy again (Ich if I remember correctly). Great job on the recovery BTW.

It is always possible that some illness can develop, but I would highly doubt it would happen with Rods clownfish.

i have a blue hippo tang that seems to get ich evertime i dont feed the tank twice a day, but my Rods dont ever have spots even though they are in the same tank.

HARDY!

Give "Morgman" here on RC a try... his b/w occ. clowns
are "bullet-proof", only $50 a pair. Dennis

Does anyone know of a reputable breeder that I can get two clowns from? Thanks.

I think you need to specify what type of clown you want. If you're asking a general question you really can't go wrong with ORA clowns that you may find locally.

I would try a pair of False Percs, since you say in your tag line you have no exp yet .
They are about the best starter fish you could get. Just make sure they are captive bred from a local breeder or ORA.
