This is a little different approach, But a while back when I was needing rock for my 180. I tried something a little different. I posted an add in the "shoppers review" it is basically a thrifty nickle type of paper. I just stated that I was looking for saltwater rock, live or dead. Even if sitting in your garage for two years. Call me, and let me know what it is you want for it. You would not believe the responce I got. I had at least 50 people call me. The response I mainly got was, "I you want this d*** rock, you can have it, just get it out of my sight. I think by the time the month was over, I had about 300lbs of rock, A 75 gal tank, A29gal tank, free fish. lights, pumps, etc. The thing is you got to realize there are 100's of people out there that have tried saltwater tanks, but relying on just the LFS for info. and being overwhelmed by everything, they just give up. the the tank and rock ends up in the garage. You need to realize how many folks out there had no clue that there were any clubs in the area. Once I got all the rock together, I cleaned it up. put it in a tank, added some live rock and let it cycle for a while. I don't know what type of time you have. I did this a good year before I set up my 180.
