What are the conditions needful for a linkia? Are there any negatives to their behavior? Things to watch out for? Size of tank?

Linckia stars are notorious for dying in reef tanks. Shipping stress, short acclimation periods and starvation all play a part in their demise. Their diets are not known.

Their best chances for survival are in large tanks with lots of live rock. Acclimation should take 5 or more hours.

Be advised that the stars may already be dying when you get them. Their survival rate is pretty dismal.

I Have A Blue linkia In A 55 Gal Tank And It Has Been In There For Just Under 1 Year He Is Doing Real Well Moves All Over The Tank

It often takes a year or more for them to use up their reserves. I would not claim to be successful until the 2 year mark.

well if I get a year or more out of a $15 star that's a great investment and well worth the 1000 times I have been asked is that real

There are few people who had success with Linkias but as a general rule they do poorly in tanks. Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m glad to hear that your star is doing well; however, your justification does not show that you care much about that critter.
