retracted hammer for three weeks

My hammer was doing very well from about the very first day I received it. It was in a moderate light area of the tank. After the first month of having it, it started opening less and less. I moved it, into a lower light area of the tank (still low to moderate... the same level of light that an elegance is getting -- which is doing very well).

params:
65 gallon tank
temp 83
pH peaks at 8.17
alk 3
Ca 380 (little low, but I dont think this would cause it to start dying).
phosp ~0
nitrate <2
lighting is LED's 1/2 cool white/ 1/2 royal blue. 36 of them at about 70% power (5 watts each).

It's in a low flow area.
Side note.. My other corals and anemones are doing well. Elegance I got same time as the hammer (July), doing great. RBTA's with rosy bubbly tips, xmas rock with spreading (growing) porites (had for over a year).

I did a Coral Rx dip a few days ago as well. There was no rxn + or -
It is not yet pulling off the sides of the base (which I've seen in other receding hammers). It's just always very retracted.

Pic below. It is not this blue at all.. It's actually a pinkish color, with slightly blue tips.

What should I do?

get that alk up - WAY up - it should be in the range of 8-11 depending, get that temp down 78-80 is optimal, get calc to about 440, what is your Mag level.

also no pic is showing...

Try moving it to another area... do you notice any pest on it?

I feel it is a dead give away when you say your alkalinity is at a 3, that you must be talking in terms of "Meq/L"...not dKH.Deffinately don't need to let the Temperature get above 82, Although mine does occasionally.Calcium at 380 really isn't a big deal, long as it stays there.

I've moved it to different areas. No change.
salinity is 35 ppm btw
I've had tanks warmer with hammers in them that thrived. It was actually a bit warmer in my tank when I got the hammer and it was doing great for that month. Could be that, but I doubt it (?) Also all the other corals/anemones, fish are happy.
yes, it's 3 meq for alk
pic...
