I'm fixing a two bulb t5 got from BRS.
Bulb Will be hanging either side of photon 48.

Instructions are not great...

Did I screw this nut/screw right? 2 pics.
Last pic...is this snap on mount necessary? I snapped end cap to this, but I won't be screwing the mount to anything like a wood piece?(last 2pic)

Overall I can't figure how end cap will attach to reflector...still!
Or is this thing supposed to be attached to wood like canopy/2x4?

Thanks

I screwed mine into a canopy. I thought those were for holding the bulb in place

Yeah mine will not be a canopy it's a closet maid shelf 6ft long.

So I guess for stiffness I need to screw it to "something"?

I thought I can hang this without

You actually don't need a piece of wood that big period a piece of half inch by 2 inch by the length necessary is good enough. Otherwise you're going to make it heavy. But yes the end caps do need to be attached to something the reflectors never attached to the end cap
