Return Pump 220 gal Corner Overflows

I am in the process of putting a 220 gallon mixed reef tank together. The maker of the aquarium says there corner overflows are capable of 700 gph each, this in my book would be 1400got. From what I had read etc this is not enough turn over rate for a tank this size. Has anyone experienced this to be a little on the underrated side? I was going to purchase a Waveline DC 10000 return which is capable of around 2700O gph. Is this pump severely overrated for this setup? Also do most people glue the return and inlet into there bulkheads? The manufacturer does not suggest gluing them into the bulkhead.

You should try to match 3-5 times your system volume as your flow rate from the return pump so approx 660-1100 gph after head loss. I used a mag 1800 on my 210 and worked well for that purpose.
I did not glue the bulkheads fittings on the INSIDE of the tank, however on the bottom (outside) I would recomend to do so.

Thanks for the input, I was tightening the nuts on the underside of the tank stand and the return pipe was crooked in the bulkhead, went on the top side to check out and was almost completely out of the bulkhead, just kinda spooky when you have that much water on the other side and in a finished basement, did you have any water leakage?

It's moot because the dual durso overflows wouldn't be able to handle that much flow anyhow, so your display would overflow and you'd flood the room; plus you don't need much more than 700 gph though your sump.
