Return pump and manifold..

I have a RR 90G and I have a RO Varios4 return pump. It is rated at 1050gph.

I plan on running GFO/Carbon reactor from BRS and eventually UV sterilizer..and who knows what else down the road..

Will my return pump have enough power to run a few pieces of equipment added later through a manifold? How much of a drop in pressure should I expect?

I'm trying to get an idea if plumbing a manifold into my system is worth the extra work and money or if I'm better off using separate pumps to run my added equipment.

I have gone both routes several times over the years. My current 120DT started with a manifold to run reactors for carbon (24/7) and GFO (as needed). My return pump is a eheim 1262 so the flow was there, in theory at least. A couple years ago I got tired of trying to fine tune the reactors to get proper flow through them and have switched to individual pumps for them. For my 60FT that uses a mag18 as the return, I made a manifold as well, but built it with gate valves instead of the ball valves I had always used in the past. Because of the overabundance of flow the mag18 provides for such a small tank there is plenty of flow for both reactors if I should need them.

Bottom line? Either way will work. If you go for a manifold, I'd suggest getting good gate valves. They make a world of difference.
