Return Pump for my tank

Hey guys, I wanted opinions on what return should I put on my 80 gal. tank. I have the CPR CS-100 Overflow which is rated for 800 gph so I wanted opinions on what return would work good. I was thinking on the Tunze Silence but other opinions on people that already know about this stuff please! thanks

with only one HOB overflow on your tank, it WILL overflow at some point! trust me I have two CPR HOB overflows and the air vent line clogs and then air builds up and then my friend your floor gets nice and wet if you only have one.

I would pick another, you can find them in the used equip. section for around 35.

Eheim 1262 is a great pump, 1260 would be fine too, but you may want to hook up some media reactor at some point and that with head loss will drop outpump by 300g/hr that or try Sicce. if those are out of the buget get a Mag drive 7.

im barely going to set up my first sump ever and what do you mean by having 2 hob overflows? how will that prevent it from overflowing? sorry for the dumb questions but it's all new to me. also if i get another one, will i need a stronger pump then? how can i prevent the overflow from overflowing? any daily tasks that i can do to prevent it?

thanks for the response. don't you think 1260 is better? i don't wanna overflow my tank

I always like a larger pump than the minimum. you can always valve it down to what you need but if you have extra you can use it inthe future for things like a reactor, fuge or whatever.
