Return Pump for Red Sea Reefer 170

Possibly purchasing a used Reefer 170.

For a few extra bucks it will come with a Eheim Return, not sure on exact model, but it's max GPH is 530.

Wondering, since I have a Mag 12 laying around, if this would be too much for the Reefer 170 which is about 34 Gallons in display and a 43 Gallon total system volume?

IMO, it would be. It's an energey hog as well

They are hot pumps so maybe not so good for vegas in the summer.

I bought a Siccce Syncra (2.)?) - the 550ish gph model. Reefer 170 on order, so not set up yet. The other 2 options from my online review perusal were the Eheim Compact 2000 (the other real option) and the Sicce Syncra Pro, which is wide enough that it would be a tight fit in the return chamber (and therefore not really an option for what I was looking for).
