return pump question

i have 2 1" drain holes in the back of my tank.. what size return pump should i get a mag 9.5 or 12? if its too small is there a way to slow down the water comming from the tank to the sump? i know the mags arn't adjustable are they? any info would be great. thanks

How many gallons is the tank? The water returned to the sump matches the amount the pump delivers, so that's not an issue.

Agreed you will only siphon what the pump provides to the tank from the sump.
