return pump selction ad flow

So I am in the process of building a 79 gallon tank 300 liters metric with a bean animal drain .
Debating on what for a return pump . I thinking of going external pump so I dont get the added .Heat and more longevity . I am looking at panworld pumps as they seem like a great pump and quiet and affordable compared to other pumps ! First question is flow and which one, first one is 480 gph which would be sufficient but then that is the max flow and with extra elbows and such thinking a 590 gph might be better ! They also make a 780 gph and of course they have more than that, which I think would be overkill ! The bean animal setup will be with 1inch bulkheads and adapted to 1.5 inch drain pipes ! Lastly the inlet and outlet size is 3/4 inch , should I adapt to 1 inch ? Or look for a different pump with 1 inch fittings ?

Any input would be appreciated !

i have no experience with the bean animal drains so i cant speak for that. i do have a pan world 590 pump that i adapted to a 1 inch inlet and it pumps my water 8 feet in the air with ease. i also put an inline check valve between my sump and pump so it keeps the prime always after the first start up you will never have to re prime the pump. that 590 is a great little pump with only 90 watts of power used, mine is 7-8 years old and still pumps like the day it was new and i have never had to clean it once.

Is your sump under the stand or in a basement? You need to know how much head pressure you will have. Something else to consider is whether you want to get a quality DC pump instead of AC.
