Return pump too strong?

I'm not sure if my return pump is too strong or not. I have two Koralia 750's and the two return nossels seem to be way more powerful, blowing around the sand. I had to bend them so the flow hits the glass almost right away, has anyone had this problem?

The return pump is a PH-3000 3550 L/H used in my 50 gallon cube with 18 gallon sump. Total water volume after 30 lbs of sand and 40 lbs of live rock is 45 gallons.

I have a magdrive 3 on my 55g as a return. I like it alot better than than the magdrive 7 i did have on it.

if your return pump was too strong your tank would overflow( trust me, this has happened to me). Pointing them at the glass isnt a bad idea, and will probably help you get surface agitation. If you really want it pointed at something else without things getting blown around, put a ball or gate valve on the out take to turn down the flow a little, it wont harm your pump at all

I've ran into the problem but it's nothing that can't be fixed. My way of fixing it was to tee it off to feed my refugium, reactors, and soon chiller. If you have room for it, take this route. It might be easier and cheaper then to buy a new pump.
