I'm setting up a 240 cube and am using a Reeflo Snapper/ Dart hybrid for my return. Though I'm not set up yet, it's advertised to get good flow for the power. I hope its as quiet as advertised.

+1. I run a Reeflo Dart/Snapper pump on my 210 and its been very reliable and quiet. The Iwaki pumps are a good choice as well. I still have some old Iwaki USA-motored pumps.

I dont think you can go wrong with either the Iwaki or Dart/snapper. Both solid pumps.

WB7000 uses 88W and would be perfect for a 280G return. I use a smaller WB5000 on a 225 and it is amazing, quite and energy efficient.

Not sure what your return / drain size is but if it is a 1.5" dual drain with a pair of 1" returns, you could get away with a WB5000 that uses about 55W and it flows enough to run a siphon drain setup with a 1.5" siphon drain / 1.5" emergency drain.

Agree on the dart. I have two on my 240. One running the return and one running the CL.
