Return Pumps

I am getting ready to get a return pump for my 90 gallon tank. I am leaning toward a mag 7. Any thoughts on other types that are your favorites? Also, what do you do to cut down on pump noise in your sump? I was thing about a layer of rubber like a mouse pad to sit it on. Is that safe?

I run an Ehiem 1260 and it is very quiet, sits on the bottom of the sump with no feet at all, no vibration at all. Really like it, I have run a Mag 9 before it was noticeably louder I think.

What size tank do you have? Mine is a 90 gallon. I am in the process of setting it up. I just picked it up before I went out of town. I had just enough time to get it cleaned up good and the back and stand painted.

i would take any Ehiem over a mag in a second... Little more money but they last unlike mags
