returns for coast to coast

just wondering how much room should I leave on both sides of a coast to coast for returns I want returns on back wall one each side.Also when putting in bulk heads for a CTC how far down from top should center of bulk head hole be down ?

You could run your returns through your overflow. How far down depends on the size of Buckhead and what schedule it is and how your planning on running your plumbing.

Simpler is to just run the return (single is better than plural) over the overflow. Less head scratching.

I'm planning go on using the BA system in my CTC trying to determine bulkhead size for it.
It's a 60 gal

which is best
1" bulkhead to 1.5 thought out
or
1.5 bulk and 1.5 valves and pipe ?
