Reusing tank after copper treatment?

I used a 10 gallon tank for a copper treatment a few months ago and now I am wondering if I can use it to start a small planted freshwater aquarium. It has been sitting dry in my garage since November. Does it need cleaning? How do I clean it or should I just pony up 15 bucks for a new 10 gallon?

Just fill with water and some vinegar, put a PH in the tank and let it sit for a couple days. Then empty the tank and rinse you should be ok...although some will disagree....

i was thinking about this the other day, the stuff you "purify" tap water with to remove chlorine/etc, wouldnt it help to maybe put a full bottle of that in and let it sit, the rest filled with water?

that being said, they are cheap... craigslist could probably find you one for $5

Its ok to use...

Yes some will disagree.....but I have seen it done 4 times now (once by myself with a 20) all tanks became succesful reefs or nanos....all that was used was water and vinegar in 3 of them...and just water in a 90 gallon......
