reveiw on quite one pump

MSHUR

ugust 2011
I am looking to get this pump to feed my chiller. Anyone have expr. with this pump as far as heat and durability. I am looking to get QO-2200..

Thankx ,MIke

i guess it does put some into the tank, but it can be plumbed externally. if it did it again, it would definitely be external. but i ocontrol the temp with fans, so i really don't know how much

The QO's are great GPH to watt pumps so the heat is minimal. Watts are watts, the same pertains to lights. The QO 4000 is 55w at 1017gph, compared to a similar pump like the genx4100 at 80ish watts. The genx will put off more heat (and rust).

You don't have to drill anything if you don't want. I have always used sub pumps as my returns and never had a heat issue. You could use an eheim submersed and they are great pump's, very quiet, powerful and low wattage. And they last forever. I ran one for over 6yrs straight and never had one problem.
