Reverse daylight or does it not matter?

I plan on using Cheato algae in my refugium. Should I have it on a reversed daylight schedule or just leave the light on 24/7 or makes no difference?

I prefer 24/7. Chaeto.'s metabolism doesn't require a dark period so you might as well let it remove nutrients from your tank 24/7. An additional benefit to 24/7 lighting of the Chaeto is that it tempers the nighttime pH of your tank so there is no day/night pH swing.

24/7, less if your tank runs hot. Mine is on reverse daylight due to heat from the main tank (2x400 mh 11 hours/day will do that to a 90)

Cheato can go 24/7? I was under the impression that it required a night cycle. Thanks for the info.

It may CAN take 24/7 but what about the life contained in that Cheato, since most of your pods are nocturnal, I wonder if this is the best way to keep a thriving population going ???
