Reverse Durso? Anyone have pics?

Does anyone have any reverse durso pictures? I want to upgrade the return pump so I can hook up a chiller to it, but I don't want the drain to get louder and get more salt creep. I already have a durso stand pipe, I just want the water rushing to the sump to be quieter and to have less bubbles popping.

If anyone has any pics, please post them!

is this what your looking for? this is at the top of my drain, just a ball valve threaded in that you can adjust, works pretty well I might say. Sorry for the poor picture and sorry if this is not what you were looking for.

I think I'm missing something: You want to run the return pump to feed both a chiller and return water to the DT?

IMO, the chiller should be fed by its own pump.

I don't have a pic of mine but I used a 1" to 1&1/2" bushing coming off my dain line conected to a 1&1/2" plumbers "Y". I have 1&1/2" pvc out of the top of the Y with a slip cap (hole drilled with airline) and another section of pvc coming out of the bottom extending to about 4" below the water line in my sump. Very easy and works great. Should only take a few minutes to build. One thing that I learned is the taller the pipe coming out of the top, the better. I guess this allows more air to travel up. HTH

Edit:

Found a pic (not mine) but you can somewhat see what mine looks like. The RD is on the left. Again, the higher the pipe out the top, the better (at least IME). Also, some folks use a "T" instead of a "Y". I tried both and the "Y" worked best for me. Also, note that the "Y's" only come in 1&1/2" and up from what I could find. This is actually a good thing as the bigger pipe quiets things down and reduces splashing going into the sump. If you can fit a 2", I would think that would be even better.

it currently is but the pump has to be in the first compartment of the sump, its a 20g. I wanted to downgrade the skimmer but it takes up a lot of room (the skimmer I'm looking at). id have to make the pump external for the chiller, if I do that I might as well hook up the feed pump to the chiller and have it return the water to the dt instead of back to the sump. either way I still want to decrease saltcreep and noise
