review on Pet Paradise

They tend to be on the expensive side and limited on selection. Although, I still have had pretty good luck with most fishes and corals, but I ask them to feed and only pick corals that look good. They also don't have much in the way of frags and usually only sell colonies.

ok thanks alot...i live in Colorado Springs and was thinking about going down there tomorrow but i dont want to go down there if it is not that good thanks for the info

Save your gas= We go to Springs to buy our stuff. As Todd says once in awhile you find something worth your while at Pet Paradise like a clown tang for 36 bux-or they sell the fish for something that it is NOT. LOL we do get lucky once in awhile.

Yeah, I agree with prplfirefish. I'm not as impressed with their store as I am with the ones in Springs. Of course, I'm new to this and had four fish die after I added a fish from their store, SOOO being the mad scientist that I am, I blame the whole thing on them, lol. But seriously, I thing you have better stores up there.

freshbrew which one do you like in the springs i have been to all of them but none are like real good.....i shouldnt say real good i guess i just have high expectation i guess they are good....but which ones you like up here in the springs

Denver does have some nice stores, as does the Springs. The reef club has a few lfs's that offer discounts to SCMAS members. Those are Neptunes, Exotic Tropicals, and Key Island (Denver). After attending two monthly meetings you can get your discount card and give it a try.

Now each store in Co Spgs and Denver has it's finer points. You will kind of figure that out as you frequent them, some are low price/high voume and some are more procey with larger colonies. I do think they are all have something to offer us, we just need to look.

For small frags you should try Fishy Business and Keys Island. They tend to have $15-20 frags that are usually small. Although I believe FB sell all corals for $20 (could be wrong). Scott at Exotic Tropicals also sells frags very reasonably. All three of these stores will usually order you just about anything you want. These are some of the reasons I shop more up north than in Pueblo.

Butchdawg, Sorry took so long, I don't check the forums that often, but I like Fishy Business and Exotic Tropicals in springs. I recently went to Neptunes Realm I think it was in Denver, off of c-470 and University and was really impressed with their stock. the guy I spoke to there stated the quarantine all of the livestock prior to bringing them into the display tank, which I thought was pretty cool. The prices were a little higher, but with the time they take to quarintine their livestock, I think it's probably worth it.

oh ok.......isnt neptunes realm in the springs???? we were just there a 2 weeks ago.....its old colorado city. what is the one you are talking about on c 470 and university?? there is QA on broadway and c 470 but just checking??
